PLASTER : New masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. It is recommended to allow 28 days as the curing time for new masonry surfaces. The roof must have positive slope/ drainage system to avoid water ponding at places.
CLEANING : Sand the application surface with 180 emery paper to remove dirt, dust, grease, loose flaking of paint, laitance etc. and wipe it clean.
REPAIRING : The substrate must be checked for its soundness using small hammer. All cracks at corner joints, channels and parapets should be properly treated.
FILLING FOR CRACKS : For filling cracks use recommended Crack Sealer. Bigger cracks, damaged portions and hollow areas must be repaired.
For optimal paint performance, adhere to post-painting care guidelines by regularly cleaning and washing any algal or fungal growth every six months.
Apply one self-priming coat of Zero Damp Advance with 30% dilution (300 ml water for 1 litre Zero Damp Advance) on the surface with the help of Brush/Roller.
Allow it to dry for 4hrs followed by two undiluted coats of Zero Damp Advance at interval of 4hrs to achieve coverage of 10-12 sqft/litre.
Apply one self-priming coat of Zero Damp Advance with 30% dilution (300 ml water for 1 litre Zero Damp Advance) on the surface with the help of Brush/Roller to achieve coverage of 25 sqft/litre.
Allow it to dry for 4hrs followed by undiluted one coat of Zero Damp Advance to achieve a coverage of 10-12 sqft/litre.
Application of 2 coats of Shalimar Paints Weather Pro+ Exterior Emulsion is recommended as per guidelines.
